So two days ago I registered the domain name www.bicyclescience.co.nz - well I didn't, but my flatmate Sheldon did - bringing a new online bike shopping experience soon, watch this space.
Plans for America, are being ironed out, and should be together soon!

A dream is born....

Well..., in a few weeks time I could be winging it to the United States of America,
for a few reasons...
Just to give you some idea, I've been thinking, and dreaming about a trip like this since I was about 15, visiting some of the Mountain biking hotspots of America, and Canada
Another reason, is that two very good friends of mine, John-Henry and Leah who were living in Tauranga for a few months last year, got engaged a several months ago, and I've been invited to their wedding in Spokane in Washington State.

A few stops along the way include San Francisco, Marin County, Santa Cruz, Salt lake City, Durango, Mt Tam, up to Canada's North Shore, Whistler, Washington State, Oregon, Moab (Utah)

The begining of the end?

Or is it the end of the begining....?

As some of you know, I was made redundant from my job, and my last day at work was on the 24th of december (Happy Christmas eh?).
Since then I have given myself a few weeks for some R & R, a few days shuttling in Rotorua on the downhill bike.
And also been looking into a couple of serious options, work wise, and study wise.

But in the mean time i've been doing a few, well..., I should say more than a few repairs on the side.

And I've been thinking more and more about the posibility of setting myself up as a self employed cycle mechanic, specializing with the aftermarket servicing, which there appears to a real lack of "good service" - Some places that I have been into, are more concerned about getting you on a bike, then out the door then actually taking time, and a real eye for detail when it comes down to the servicing.

There was a Blog...
And I wrote it over lunch having a BLT Croissant.

I haven't really decided what to blog about, or if my life is interesting enough to be of any worth.
But here goes.
